Getting Things Done in the Kitchen and Award

Hello my furry friends! We thank Thor and Marco Polo and their kitty siblings and our buddy Echo for this award. Since we love everyone's bloggies. If you did not get this, well you are awared it too! We just wish we could get mom to blog more, hint hint. We will try to make to do better.

Hope all of you are doing well and keeping husky cool. Things are finally done in the kitchen (except for the tile backsplash, but that has to wait for a while) and now mom can get her cookie business going. We three had a meeting and agreed that cookies needed to be made. This is the finished cookie baking area. Those gates are not always there, just sometimes, when we get out of control with zoomies. Something about she had just vacuumed up the husky fluff and did not need out help with the vacuum.

Here's all the cookie baking stuff. We love seeing these things out on the counter. Mom was making an order for Steve and Kat. Oh my dogness, you should have seen that box of cookies. It smelled amazing.

Of course, we did get to taste them to be sure they were just right. We deserve a whole bowl of cookies each for this picture, with yogurt on top!

The weather is finally nice here and we have been outside having a good time. We hope it gets cooler soon. We got some really cool awards and will post about them over the weekend. And we will get some outside photos too!

Home is Wonderful!

Hello to all our Furry Friends! Thank you for all your well wishes. A lot of you know we came back home. We left to evacuate and the traffic was gridlocked, and there were no gas stations and no stopping allowed on the way. Mom and Dad agreed home was best, so we took the last available u-turn and headed home. Mom and Dad upacked the huskymobile and got us settled in. As you seek our beds got stacked up during the day as we were only allowed in three rooms (for safety reasons and keeping us cool). And I had to guard the dog cookies.
Missy had her favorite spot under the desk and Bella likes the kitchen floor. Of course our kitchen was not finished, but now that the storm is over and things are getting back to normal it is supposed to be finished this week! We can't wait.
Now that the storm is over and we have that electric stuff back on, mom can bake cookies. I was helping her unpack the Happy Hearts Dog Cookies container. She actually packed up her cookie cutters, measuring stuff and her special gift from Frankie, Maddie and Dominio. She made us cookies yesterday, as we were completely out and we deserved them because we such good pups during the storm.
Here's a short video of us looking out the window after the storm had kinda passed late that afternoon. The pool was so full of leaves and stuff, but dad cleaned it out the next day. It's not the best video, but mom tried.
We thank all of you. Checking up on us and keeping us in your thoughts and the SMS'ers that sent all those husky/mal vibes that got our electricity back on Thursday night. We were so happy to have the husky air back on. And believe us, husky/mal vibes really do work!
From Gerri: thank you everyone! We were very fortunate that all we lost was power and we had a small generator going that kept the frig on and a small portable room a/c that kept the pups cool. We were prepared to stay in the beginning and felt we made the right decision. The only motel we could find was in northern Arkansas and it would have taken us 2 day sto get there. So home was best. The only damage we had was a piece of siding/soffit of the side of the house by the gutter. We can fix that. The pups were very, very good. It's funny now, when it's get dark and starts to rain, they go to their crates now and wait for me to come sit by them like I did during the storm. The kitchen will be finished this week, and I can get back to baking dog cookies. Our capital, Baton Rouge was hit the hardest, so the department that issuses the license asked that I wait a week before I send in my application. Thank you again for your thoughts. It was the greatest feeling to know how much all of you cared!!!!

Evacuation

Hello Fellow Pups!. We are evacuating because of the hurricane coming our way. Mom and Dad are packing up everything that will fit in the huskymobile. We are very sad to leave our home, but this seams to be the safest thing to do. We hope to blog again, and will try to check with everyone when we get to a safe place.

Kitchen Update and Awards

Hello to all our furry friends! We apologize for not updating our bloggy. The kitchen project is movin along and the me and Bella got to play in the sun room. Does not look like a sun room does it? It has kitchen supplies, lots of boxes, painting stuff and we thought it was really cool to play on the sofas (we are not supposed to be where you see us) it was just a weak moment on dad's part.
Missy was helping mom get the plastic up off the rug after the workers left. We made sure to put husky fur all over it.
This is our "no kitchen." There is no floor and for our "protection" mom covered it with brown paper. Most of the blue tape is because me and Bella have been tearing pieces of it up looking for treasure. Unfortunatly, we have not found any.
We would like to thank our buddy Echo for this Cool Cat Award. We do like cats and mom says that I must have been a cat in a former life because of the way I keep myself clean and act. I am honored.
We would like to thank our friends Star and Jack, the Colorado Crew, Mona, and Eva and Brice for the Brillante Blog award. This is very nice of you'all and we will try to get mom to be more "brillante" and do more blogging.
Here is part of the kitchen that is done. No countertops yet, BUT WE GOT THE MOST IMPORTANT APPLIANCE IN. Mom's special double oven for our dog cookies! She has promised to make us a batch of "test cookies" in it today. So we will be waiting.
We would also like to thank Ms. Kyhra for this Kind Blogger award. We appreciate it!
Here are all three of us actually sitting togheter behaving. We were watching mom grouting the ceramic tile floor in the kitchen. It looks very nice and we will update you on that too!
Thank you to all our friends for being patient. We have been visiting your bloggies and keeping up with everything. Today is the first day mom actually got free time to update our bloggy. She spent yesterday (12 year wedding anniversay) grouting the ceramic tile floor. She said it was okay since the kitchen is her anniversay present.

I Am Bella The Busy Husky

Hello to all our furry friends! I wanted to do a post! I have lots to tell. After all I am Bella Donna, the fluffy white, bigger than MayaMarie husky. Aroo roo roo. As you can see, I needed a nap by the husky air vent. I'm making sure it gets lots of tail fluff.
Missy and MayaMarie are resting too. They stayed in the kitchen where there are no cabinets, streched out being very lazy. See no cabinets. The brown paper is covering where there is no floor and we got to see the paint colors that were behind the cabinets. Mom's gonna paint it a pretty soft yellow like the dining room.
I was busy helping mom bake cookies for Sitka and Cornelia Marie. She has everything set up in the laundry room and I just love it, as I can be close to the action. I can also watch the two non-helpers.
Here I am watching mom. I didn't go in there because it very warm and she had the door open and the fan on. But I was close enough to make sure the cookies tasted good and were acceptable for shiping out. You pups are gonna enjoy them.
This is why I was so tired too! Before she bakes cookies, mom vacuums. She wants to make sure there is no husky fluff being baked in the cookies. Well, I had to make sure the vacuum did not get the cookies. Here is me getting the vacuum. Me and MayaMarie were really tired after this. We got lots of ice cubes and had a good nap.
I hope you enjoy the video.

Tasting and Not Behaving

Hello Our Furry Friends! The house is intresting without the wall and we are really enjoying so much air conditioned open space to run in. Mom had to make some kookies for Lady Khyra. I got to do a safety inspection on the salmon. Khyra, you will enjoy these.
While mom was making kookies, we were busy playing. The brown paper is to protect the wood floor during the destruction of the cabinets. So far it has protected it against everything but Bella. Now she's trying the tear pieces of it.
Don't these look yummi? Of course they are not for us. You would think that there would be kookies for us, but no...... our containers are empty.
Well, Bella showed her. Mom was rolling out kookie dough, and when she looked to see what was going on, Bella had the end of the tablecloth and was pulling. Of course, no camera. Me and Missy were wooing and telling her noo, don't do it, but she did. I helped mom pick up the papers and straighten it back out.
Of course we demaned kookies after that. If you want us to be good, then give us kookies. As you can see, Missy decided to demand kookies. And yes, we only got one each.
We stayed out of trouble while mom finished the rest of the kookies. She is supposed to make some for us today, since our containers are all empty. I haven't decided what flavor I want yet.
And here is me being good, with my new nylabone on the rug after it was vacuumed. You can be sure that it is not red right now, it's fluffy white from all our fluff. I guess the vacuum will come out today.

Husky Air Back On & Adrill

Hawoo My Furry Friends. The Husky air is back on...thankdogness! Mom and dad worked all day getting the electrical moved and working properly. There was lots of "that wire is not supposed to have power" and "why didn't you write on the wire so you know where it goes." We stayed in our room. Mom got us a fan and lots of ice and we were fine. We are adorable, huh?
In the middle of all this, dad managed to end the life of Adrill, so mom had to go to that store that sells tools and get him a new one so he could finish making holes in the walls. Mom wants to know why there are not husky adrills?
We got to go in the room after they finished today's project and cleaned it up. Very messy and something about pieces of things that we don't need to chew on. Dad was coming back down the hall. And NO, I WAS NOT sniffing Missy's butt. Mom took the picture just when I got there. I want to know what they are gonna do with about the missing floor were the wall was.
About 5:pm, they both had enough. Dad needed a beer and mom needed her sweet fruity wine with lots of ice. Then she wanted chocolate.

As you can see in this picture, the mixer and moms cookie baking supplies are all here. She didn't get to bake cookies today, because she is dad's helper (and someone has to fetch the tools, find the flashlight, flip switches, pull wire thru the ceiling, and crawl in the attic with dad to hold the flashlight, but she will be working on some for MaPaw tomorrow. So cookie backing is definitely going on. We are very happy because she signed the paperwork for her cookie baking business and is now doing the "one step at a time" that her cpa guy told her to do. (note from mom: lots of paperwork and rules. But you have to follow the steps in order.) She can't wait to get her website up so everyone can order our yummy cookies.
