I'm So Glad To Be Home!

Oh my furry friends. I'm so glad to be home! The people at the vet were all very nice and took good care of me, but I so missed home. When I saw mom and dad, I just could not stop aroo rooing. I got to ride on mom's lap in the back of the huskymobile (we were both seat belted) and she carried me in, just like the actress dog that played Maya in Eight Below was carried. I'm so spolied.
But, I msut say, this plastic thing around my neck has got to go. Of course it required many vet techs to put this on, and then they put duck tape to keep it on me. (I'm gonna find the duck that makes this tape and he's gonna get it)
I can't even drink water without mom's help. Do you see this stuff around my front feet. They removed my dew claws and I have to wear these doggie proof bandages now. My "boo boo" you know where, looks good. Mom checks it like the vet said to make sure the stiches are okay.

Now, I can't get on the sofa, or jump or run, or get in my window, or sleep in my doughnut. But mom did give me my soft bed. Oh it felt so good! But, don't you see something wrong with this picutre. This is where we found Missy when we got home. On the good sofa in the sun room. Just as queenly as you please.
Thank you all for your well wishes and good thoughts. I'm not doing too much walking, I'm just kinda lazy right now, and I don't want mom out of my sight. She has to give me lots of hugs and pets and I've been giving her lots of kisses. I'll talk again later.

You look so sad in your cone. It really sucks you have to wear it. Hopefully you will heal very soon!

Why did you have to have your dew claws removed? What was wrong with them?

Oh Maya, I hope you get to take that evil cone off soon! Mom was baaaad and didn't make Shelby wear hers but a day. Shelby was really tired and cranky for a few days cuz of all those stitches, so don't feel bad if you are grumpy. It will get better.

Holly already asked about the dew claws. Did you have problems with them?

You'll be back in your window soon, woo woo!

Maddox who got 'fixed' too for some reason...isn't it strange all this fixing going on?

Howroo Maya,
We're all so glad you're back home safe & sound, and your procedures went well. That conehead is a pain in the snooter spot, but hopefully you won't have to wear it long! We're keeping all 16 paws crossed that you recover fast and feel like your old self in no-time!
Pupprayers & best wishes,
Bama & the RHP

Wooo MayaMarie...

I am so sorry that you are having to wear the cone. I never had to when I got fixed. But I didn't have anything done with my dew claws, so maybe that is why? Why did they have to take them?

Anyroo, glad you are home! Get better soon.
Hugs,
Sitka and Tia

Hi-Woo Maya Marie,
Juneau & I have been both thinking about you. You look so 'under the weather' in that pic. Those cones are awful with a capital A!! Milk it for all you can to get lots of hugs & treats. Wishing you a speedy recovery so you will be back on yur sofa real soon where you belong. If you need any help finding that duck just give a woo over to me.

Oh MayaMarie - the dreaded lampshade! That's as bad as my horrific nail clipping on Saturday. I sure hope you're feeling better. You'll be up and about in no time (but don't let Mom know you're feeling better. Make her worry about your.....limp a little and throw some whines in too). It's good for extra treats.
